1999 dt140 tach questions

i just bought a dt140 with harness and they gave me a new faria tach i need to know what wire goes where the tach hase a gray, purple, blue and black the harness has yellow, light blue, pink, white, gray, and black and the white has constant power even with key off

is there a diagram that i can use the hook up the harnes

I doubt this helps but the Suzuki shop manual shows the factory harness connected to the tach with R/G and B probably for illumination and Gr, B, and Y probably for control information.

Your Faria tach. is generic: Gray-tach signal, Purple-hot with key on, Blue-tach light, Black- ground. Set tach on 12 pole.
Suzuki harness is : Yellow-tach signal, Gray-hot with key on, Black-ground. Don't confuse the Gray wires and hook them together. White is a power wire always hot for the tilt/trim switch input, pink & lt. blue are T/T output.
