I just purchased a Stratos bass boat with this engine Model# E175FPLSSR that starts great when I back it in the water. Runs great as well, however after it has been turned off for an hour or so of fishing, it won't restart for about 20 minutes. I wait for my check lights to go off and then wait for the buzzing noise to stop from the engine, then try and start it. This goes on for about 20 minutes. Once it starts, I can cut it back off and it will refire immediately. The problem seems to be after it has been turned off for awhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Previous owner said he had same problem and eventually figured out a routine for starting it. Really embarrassing when my son is fishing the high school bass tourneys.

Have you checked for any error codes on the engine? If there are any, they will typically give you a good idea where to start.

Find a Evinrude/Johnson dealer around you with the cable/software and have them retrieve the codes (if any).

Alternatively, buy a diagnostic cable and software kit from ebay. The cable you can build yourself. It's just a COM port on one end and a connector that you can find at online electronic shops. Finding software would be more challenging.
