1999 Ficht Ram 225 Just Stopped

Dear Friends

My buddy and I were out trolling 3 miles straight out to sea when the engine alarm sounded and the engine just stopped. Fuel pressure is 20 lbs. oil bulb is tight. When we got it out of the water tried to start it and backfired a few times and will not start. Any idea's of what this could be, or if it sounds familiar to anyone? Mark

You need to have the ECU interrogated for error events as a start. The Ficht motors are not good candidates for DIY mechanics. Try to find a good tech to look at it if you don't have the tools/expertise to do it.
