Yesterday I while at full throttle my engine lost power and i noticed the oil lamp turned on. After a quick investigation at the boat ramp I notice oil coming out of the air intake of the carb. It won't hold oil anymore. What happened?? Is it a seal? A gasket?? An O ring? Can i fix this myself?? What a bummer.

Are you saying that it still runs, but blows oil out of the carb, and that after checking the oil and ensuring it's at the correct level it still blows out? There can be a couple of reasons for the oil level to become too high and cause running issues, not all of them are that big of a problem.

Or, it doesn't run and oil leaks out?

Does the oil smell like gas?

Check the compression.

It is a 4 stroke. The engine will run. When the green light comes on this means the oil is low, so when I got to the boat ramp I added oil but it wouldn't hold any, it would run out through the air intake of the exhaust. Something is not right. Some kind of seal or o ring blew out. Not sure where or how to investigate.

I'd start with a compression test.
BTW your oil light is an oil pressure light, Not an oil level light.

On my older Honda the light is on when I have oil pressure. The warning for me is when it is off. Sounds like your newer model is reverse, the light on is a warning light.

I was a little confused by the statement that the oil flows out the air intake of the exhaust. No matter, main thing is something is bad. I wouldn't think an o-ring or a gasket could do that, sounds more like a broken piston. Like earlier stated, do a quick compression check. I'll bet the bottom hole is bad.

Good luck!

As others have said the green light means oil pressure is good.
It's not really an oil level indicator unless the oil level is so low there isn't enough oil pressure.

I'd have a mechanic drain the oil, change the filter (if it has one) refill it with the correct amount of oil, and see what happens.

A classic case of "you need to RTFM". Overfilling like that could cause damage. As Marc said, have someone with appropriate skills change the oil and filter (and possibly purge oil from the fuel system and cylinders), and you will probably be OK. In the future, remember that oil level must be checked with the dipstick.
