I just bought a 1999 johnson 50 hp and when its at an Idle, the stream of water out of the tube is not a solid stream. Is it suppose to be a solid stream of water or is it fine that it has a little sputter to it. Im going to change it to be safe but im wanting to take my boat to the lake this weekend and the new one will not be here until monday.

Thanks alot

You could try blowing out the pisser line once and see what happens. Sometimes they get clogged.

A big tub of water is always better providing it's filled to the proper level which I always like to see the same level as when the boat is in the water.
