1999 Merc 135 hp.. how much is it worth?

I'm looking at a 1999 Merc 135hp. The owner says it's in great condition. It comes with oil tank, controles and wire harness....I don't know what a motor like this should cost. any info would be a great help, thanks

Joe, I paid $1K for a '93 Merc 135V6, last summer. I did check it out, and was pretty sure of it's condition (good).

You might look on NADA for a reference price.
