1999 Mercury 225 hpEFI oil injection question??

I have a 1999 Mercury 225hp EFI motor on my boat. I am new to these motors. Wondering how the oil injection works? It has an oil tank on the motor. It also has an oil tank in the boat. Does the oil tank in the boat feed the oil tank on the motor?
