hey everyone me and my father are looking to buy a new fishing boat.

We are looking at two right now a 1999 Mr pike 17 and 2002 16 model.

Is there much of a difference between these boats other then size, options ect I have been looking for specs but have not had much luck.

Any opinions on either model are welcome.

Re: 1999 Mr Pike and 2002 Mr Pike 16

I owned a 2002 Lund Mr. Pike 16 for a few years. It had a console with a 75hp Merc on the back...with a PowerDrive V2 trolling motor.

Things I loved about the boat.....very roomy for a 16' boat. Large livewells. Ride was smooth...handled rough water amazingly well. Getting it on and off the trailer was very easy...even by myself.

Things I disliked about the boat....the outboard was a witch to start when it was cold...but you'll get that with any 2 cycle motor. The 3 batteries were each in their own separate compartment. 1 at the front, 1 in the middle, and the cranking battery in the rear. So hooking up an onboard charger and running wires to all 3 was a huge pain.

Other than that...great boat. I sold it last summer and bought a Skeeter so I could do more bass tourney's. How much are they asking for the 2 boats?
