I just repowered my boat with a optimax 225,I picked it up today. After driving all morning I put it in the water to take a quick lap before going back in the slip.I ran it for about 10 minutes in a no wake zone then opened it up.It ran at 5500 rpms for about 4 minutes then started vibrating and shut down.Temp guage was good, fuel ball solid but no clicking on the key.I waited a few minutes disconected the negative cable and re attached it,it started.I put it in gear and it died.I had to get towed in.The motor did restart 10 minutes later but im scared to take it back out.And taking it back to the dealer will cost me roughly 300 that I dont have in fuel costs and a baby sitter.

O.k. just went to another dealer closer to home to pick up a manual.I spoke with the parts guy who is also a part time mechanic. These newer motors are loaded with sensors that will shut it down.1 is overtemp another is oil pressure and another is on the water seperator next to the fuel pump.If it sees any water it will shut it down.I bought some ab-sorb to toss in the tank and was told to dump both water seperators.Ill let you know tommorow how I make out.
