1999 or 2000 Optimax 225 identification. No serial number

Hey guys. I have an Optimax 225 but I can't tell if its a 99 or 2000 model. Is there any way to tell the difference. It is on a 2000 Robalo 2240. But I don't want to assume it's a 2000 motor. It doesn't have a serial number sticker. I have looked at images of both cowls but the 99 I have seen with both cowls. I have the newer style.

I thought the serial number was stamped into the block?

Thanks for the replies. I wrote down every block number I could find on it, plus the electronic's numbers, plus any other number I found on it. Then Googled every number to see what those parts went to. Turns out it's a 2000. But there was one thing that would have solved all this very quickly. On the cowl it has the sticker "saltwater". They used the term "bluewater" on 99's. I know I should put much weight into a sticker, but everything is consistent with a 2000. Hopefully this helps someone down the road.
