Hey Everyone,
I'm looking at a 1999 Smokercraft 180 Cobra Fiberglass boat with a 135 merc outboard powering it. I wasn't aware that smokercraft made fiberglass boats until I saw this one and the owner said that this was the first year they made them. He said the only issue's he's had are: a) cavitation on tight turns....which he then put on stainless prop and it helped but didn't completely solve.....I imagine that a better stainless prop will dot he trick and b) the floor drains which run out through the transom (it is a fiberglass floor), use to back fill onto the floor of the boat as him and his son are bigger and he said theat the wait would put the transom drains under the water line so he had them sealed off by the marina where he purchased it and the floor now drains into the bilge (this seems like a design flaw to me).....the hull seems solid but the sidewalls seem "flimsier" closer to the top edge of the boat?.....any thoughts.
Thanks!
