1st boat...trim tabs??

Just bought my first boat! No longer moochin' off friends, yay! OK, 1980 Bayliner 2250 Santiago Cuddy, 21'. No trim tabs, previous owners (big family of 6) said they never needed it. What should I do? Thanks!

What you should do is go out and use the boat! If there appear to be any performance problems, report back.

If she gets up on plane with no problems and doesn't have a list, you don't need them. The hull was tested without them so if you find you do, there is another reason.
