Well I put my boat in its slip on Thuraday. Came back on Friday and there was a very small amount of water in the bottom of my boat right under my bilge pump. No rain, nobody was in the water, so it didnt come from there Should I be worried about it? Its an '87 Bayliner 2150 I/O.

Water is supposed to stay on the outside. Dry it out the best you can and start looking for the intrusion. Check seals, bellows, gasketing around outdrives, thru hull fittings, etc. That little bit of water is certainly not going to sink it, but it could lead to rotted stringers, especially in an older boat.

Could it be water that was already in the bottom that finally worked it's way back?

Also if it is an auto bilge pump it could have been a lot more and the bilge pump did it's job.

hahaha. probably melted snow. As far as amount um, a little, maybe a half gallon. It is possible it made its way from the front from the winter. I washed out the whole area the day before. Is it possible to not have all dried out or come out? It is the 5.0 omc. Thanks guys, I guess I should just keep a close eye on it and see if it truly is left over water or new water.

I didnt have anything with me to be able to completely dry it out, but it was a small enough amount of water that when i turned the pump on, it wouldnt even pump it out.

Dry it out and see if it comes back. Could be water that was in the boat in another place and when you put it in the water it worked it's way to the back.

I think a Rocky Mountain Spotted Sea Monster did it.

all boats in the water retain that last slurp the pump can't get out. If that's all you got, no problem. If it builds while sitting, enough to trip the pump, you may have a leak.

note that pumps often drop what's in the hose back in the boat. no problem.

One way to trace leaks is tio sprinkle baby powder around, or lay out paper towels, on a dry surface.

first place I'd suspect is the garboard plug hole.

Yes, it's very possible. It can take a LONG time for all the wash water to finally seep to the lowest point in the boat. Dry out the bilge and keep an eye on it.
