I have a 3 bladed prop the only has about 2-3/4 blades left. I just purchased the boat and a guy at work has a Stainless Michigan prop we think may work. Can anyone tell me if this prop will work and if so what adapters or washers will I need to convert.

My boat 1985 Baja Islander 180 Bowrider, Mercruiser MCM140 3.0, Mercruiser sterndrive of unknown model (serial unreadable), RPM range 4200-4600,
Current broken prop Part # 48-78120-19P

My friends prop Michigan SSO517-11C or SSO-517-IIC not sure which is correct he wrote it down and its chicken scratch. I think its off of a 3.0 OMC.
Thank you in advance,
Chris

If you look these things up in the prop store section see what props fit what outdrives.Anyway I checked::
It won't fit; different diameter, different mount.A prop shop may becable to repair but get a price and see what new costs.

Thank you. We tried looking up both props and have found the OEM mercruiser prop but could only find minimum info on the Michigan Part#. Also read that when switching to a Stainless prop you should change to a lower pitch. So we figured we had a chance. Thanks again.

I just looked both up by application 3.0 OMC and Mercuiser.
I believe the Mich. number came up 12 3/4 X 17
The OMC I looked up was 12 3/4" diameter. The Mercs were about 14" diameter. and of course different model numbers and hubs.
