2.3 litre Volvo in 1986 Bayliner Capri Bowrider

I am considering purchase of this as a used boat. I have experience with Mercruiser but was wondering whether a 2.3 litre volvo penta drive system has adequate power for this boat. the boat will be used for general touring with up to 6 adults and some skiing/wakeboarding. Thanks for any help

I seem to remember something about older Volvo marine engines (80's and earlier) might have part availability problems.
