I have a 1988 Bayliner capri with a 2.3 OMC Cobra Ford i/o
I just got it back from the mechanic again for the 2nd time and the problem is worse not better.
we had the compression checked and its fine in all 4 cyl. We had the a new electornic ignition kit (pertronix) installed and the distributer rebuilt. Shifting linkage was adjusted by mechanic.
The boat sputters and bogs down at WOT and will not go past about 20 at 3500 RPM. it will not go any faster...
Any ideas as to what could be the issue?
