I have a 1990 Caravelle with a 2.3L ford straight 4 and an OMC Cobra I/O. It has stalled when throttling up ever since I bought it used last year and I lived with it last season while I repaired other things. If I throttle up quickly I basically pass over the stall point and everything runs fine but if I power up slowly and evenly it will always stall. I'm assuming that its not getting enough fuel at that spot but I'm not sure how to fix this. The stall spot is at the optimum speed that I would use going through the multiple no wake zones on the CT river and while I continue to be a courteous boater I'm getting tired of having to crawl through the no wake zones. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated or if there already is a thread for this that I missed please point me in the right direction.
