2.5 to 5.0 swap

I have a '78 Cobia w/2.5 and OMC 400 sterndrive. Is it a big issue to switch the 2.5 to a5.0? I have the OMC 800 sten drive, it's just the 5L is in a '75 Sea Ray but it looks like a OMC engine mounted to a Mercuiser out drive. Is this going to be an issue?

Why not run the 5.0 in the boat it's in? With the out drive it has.

Ok well the 5L is in a VERY SOGGY 24ft Sea-Ray with a missing leg. The hull is so rotten that when we tried to winch the boat on a trailer, the forward eyelet pulled right outta the hull ripping it open. The motor still runs well.
