I was browsing through the boat section at WalMart yesterday and noticed their Quicksilver 2 cycle oil came in two flavors, regular and synthetic blend. I know synthetic blend oils are the rage in automotive applications and was wondering if I should consider running it in my 1987 90 HP Mercury with oil injection. Right now I'm using the standard 2 cycle oil.

Re: 2 Cycle Oil

It will work fine in your Merc, as will any TC-W3 certified 2 stroke oil. I can't say you will notice any difference except maybe a bit less smoke and stink and a slightly lighter wallet.
