Hello to all <br />I'v been reading this fourm since I bought a 1984 merc 60,lots of good info. The motor is hard to start and runs rough. The comp. is 125,125,120.<br />I have rebuilt the carbs as well as the fuel pump. New plugs,made an attempt at a synch job.The motor will start and idle some times,real tutchie on the choking though. I started thinking if roughness and hard starting could be electric related. All three cyls. are fireing according to my timing light,but if I try to start without #1 or#3 spark pulg wires I cant keep it running, not so for #2,it does run but at a reduced rpm . Do you think it could be a coil? I thought they work or not,and not just weak.<br />Any help would be welcomed.<br />Mike in Odessa
