I just picked up 2 mark 5 outboards from one of my older lawn customers.
What are the worth in great shape and can you still get parts for them?

Kenny,

Great motors, underrated hp for sure, probably more like 6-7 hp.

There worth has everything to do with how much someone else is willing to pay for them.

Those are notorious however for the lower units cracking due to the water not completely draining from the unit.

Parts are also available at www.oldmercs.com, which may be a mirror to the east coast marine site...anyway they have a lot of old merc stuff. Value depends on where you are and what the buyer wants to pay that day. Check for a local AOMCI club/chapter in your area at www.aomci.org. If there's a chapter nearby, they should be having swap meets soon. Those guys can tell you all about the old motors and you may find another treasure at their meets.
