2 of the same fish finders 1 sending unit

just got done redoing fish & ski boat.got new fish finder for by console,now fish finder up front that was on boat went dead.can i get the same fish finder that i put by console, mount up front & splice wires from new one to the one i put by console & just use the one sending unit?

No. Some manufactures make an A/B switch that allows you to use one transducer with 2 units. You can then use one or the other but not both at the same time. This is of course assuming that both units use the same xducer. (same part no.) If you have a trolling motor, you could always put a xducer on it.
