#2 piston shot and regulator burned

1995 135hp mercury 0G281589- #2 piston beat up cylinder head and took a little chunk out of the sleeve, you couldn't fit a bb in the damaged sleeve. Piston is also gone. The boat was peeing when shut down. But, my bottom regulator was burned up, could this have been my problem? Also, What do I do about my powerhead?

Sorry to hear your misfortune. The regulator was a mere coincidence of the cylinder going down if they occured at the same time. There are many things that could have caused the #2 problem. What do the other cylinders look like? Dry? Wet? Thanks for your response-The other cylinders are fine. About 6 months ago I took it to my dealer because alarm went off. They said it was fixed now here I am. Any suggestions

I think it was my oil alarm
