This engine seems to have a warming up problem when started for the first time in 2 or more days. It will start fine and rev fine in neutral but when I put it in gear it takes about 15 minutes before it will get up to plane, then another 15 before it will go WOT. I have pumped the fuel bulb while underway but it does nothing different.
Second question is about overheating issues. I have a constant stream out of the pee hole and great pressure, yet when I go from high speed to idle it will be fine for about 2 minutes then give overheat signal. It seems to do this every time I go into no wake zones or when returning to the boat ramp.
Anyone have any ideas on either of these issues? I am going to try to sell my boat but want to get these straightened out first, I'm buying a different boat.
