2" Springfield seat post

I have a 1984 fishiing boat with pedestal seats. The previous owner cut off one of the posts to make it shorter and more comfortable for his young son. I am trying to find a replacement post to make it comfortable for an adult and can't find replacement posts - nothing like sitting 8" off of the floor : ). It's a Springfield post and has an OD of 2" and should be 24" in length. I have contacted Springfield and they don't make these posts any longer.
Anyone have any ideas?
