Just got a 24'6" Aquasport with a 200 hp Johnson 1980 (bad motor) the motor has 2 steering cables that go to it and I do not get it I want to replace the motor with a 1984 235 johnson but this motor only calls for 1 cable anybody know why the 2 cables and do I need to use both? If so I guess i could use the 200 motor mount with the 235 but prefer not to go through all that if I do not need to.
