Hi All,

I've just bought standard size piston assembly 826191T4 listed on Ebay:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192646948344

and it's 826191A4 (dated 1997) that has just turned up instead. My own research so far suggests that the most recent version of 90hp that 826191A4 fits is serial numbers BEL 9793577 THRU 0P016999 / USA 0D283222 THRU 0G760299 (hence up until mid-1998). Could anyone please confirm if it's any different from 826191T4, which my 90ELPTO serial number BEL 0P121707 (made in 2000) needs, and if so what exactly all the differences are? Unfortunately my boating season is very short (just a few weeks of holidays) and so any mistake would put it at risk.

Many thanks in anticipation!

Dmitriy

Only differences are bore size and rod(top or bottom guided). If both are same size and top guided it should work...

Thank you: will measure and compare it to the old one when I'm at the engine next. Btw I do recall seeing "top guided" mentioned somewhere in the advert. Meanwhile here's a response from Brunswick Marine EMEA that I've just received, suggesting it's the same part:

"826191A4 is the "old" part number and has been replaced by 826191T4. So both are the same pistons."

Check you bore sizes really good as these motors as known skirt breakers, make sure you prop it to max recommended RPM and not over it.
