2 wires from controls, what are they???

We completed a lot of the woring on the boat this weekend however there is 2 wires coming from the controls that go to the dash. Both wires are yellow with a red tracer. What do these control and were do they go? The 2 wires are together and in a cover coming out of the controls.

Any ideas?

They are the neutral safety switch wires. You should have two matching ones in the engine harness. Doesn't matter which way you hook them up...

HMMMM Interesting! Thank you for the information. This must have been cut before I bought the boat. I will have to chase it down and fix it the right way. I bet I will find where it was bypassed in the engine compartment.
