Still having trouble getting a manual for my 1990 20 h.p. pull start outboard motor. Ken Cook has some at around 80.oo dollars that are not specific to my motor. Im wondering how much diff. there is between a 90 and a 89 model so I can buy a SOLEC manual at my local parts store. my motor is model E20CRESB, ser. R08584881 is this a 90 model motor? What is the corect plugs for this thing.The darn thing runs fine above a high idle but will die easing up to a dock. Are these 90 models worth keeping? Why no manuals. Am I the proud owner of a WHITEELEPHANT? Thanks for your time. And sorry about wearing out the search archives as I have spent about a mounth searching them learning mostly that I need a good manual.
I am told that I am too pickey when it comes to most anything that has moveing parts I can usually make most anything I set my mind to operate at least as good as new, most of the time a little better. I love my TOYOTAS and JOHN DEERE tractors . Here in a few mounths I will know this motor pretty well also.I have started fishing a no wake lake and I want to be at least as smooth as them newer yammies and 1 sure enough old timer with a 50hp mercury that is soo smooth running you cant believe the darn thing is running.Its a 1970 something model boat and motor that you can tell has been treated with lots of T.L.C..Thanks for the hollar back friend , have a good one.
