20 hp electric starter

Starter tries but it goes zing and then it kicks out. Rope start works. It has 2 wires going to the starter. Is this a bendix or solenoid starter? Can the starter be fixed, or do i need a new starter?

Clean all your electrical connections to shiny clean. Could also have a sticky bendix.
