Dear All, <br /><br />I have a 20HP Merc 1980/81 S/No 5731713. <br /><br />I am trying to fit the remote throttle and gear shift system from another 20HP merc bought for spares, this engine is exactly the same, only about 11 serial numbers apart. <br /><br />I have the assembly for the throttle and shift linkages but I do not know which cables to use and how they attach. <br /><br />The cable ends that came with the scrap engine do not appear to fit, or if they do fit will foul the gear shift action. <br /><br />Is their an adaptor plate which holds the cables to the engine or do they simply attach to the relevant points on the gear/throttle linkage?<br /><br />Does anybody have an installation diagram for fitting these cables to the engine as I am struggling to know which cables to order. <br /><br />The scrap engine also came with an old mercontrol box which appears to be functional. Any info or diagrams associated with a mercontrol box would also be of great help!. <br /><br />Any info would be greatly appreciated. <br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Stuart
