I just got back from an out of town trip and boat had sat a while . I took it to water without checking starter battery - did ck trolling one lol. Well it was too low to crank over the engine. I thought I would just pull start it, so made sure it was in neutral , choked it and set throttle to start. I could not budge the pull rope. I fiddles with the shifter to make sure it was in fact in n and it seemed to be, so tried again. No joy, would not budge. I hokked the trolling battery up and it fired right up like normal. What am I doing wrong with the manual start? Manual says just make sure it is in neutral, set choke if needed and slowely pull the rope to allow for the decompression gadget to do it's thing then pull sharply. I hooked it to hose at home after getting back and tried with same results. It started to pull but when i laid into it it just locks up then cannot pull it at all. I am sure it it something silly I am doing, but cannot figure it out. I tried it at home with batteries out as was charging them if that matters? Any help would be great, thanks.
