just wanted to say i love this motor, bought it last nov. its a 09 model, short shaft remote w power trim standard, mounted on a 14 ft jon.
its already been through ruff conditions, ice, mud, and shallow waters and no probs yet. been runnin it hard every weekend, it also been getting better gas milage. went up river approx 26 river miles and floated\idled back down in 3 gallon tank, impressive....oh its almost a grand cheaper than mercury, same motor aint it. just paying a grand for the sticker!

For the record, the tiller arrangement is different too. I just bought a 30 Nissan and saved the same grand over the Merc. Sweet deal! My only gripe with it is that tehy totally forgot to add a remote/front access switch for teh power tilt & trim. Dumb. ( I installed a Merc switch)
I've only had mine out 3 times but in those 3 trips/7 or so hours of mixed run time, I used a total of 3 gal. JUST AMAZING!
