I have a 1996 Mercury 200 EFI mounted on a Gambler Intimidator. I relocated a year ago and stored the boat in my father's basement for a month, unfortunately a month turned into a year. I did not do any type of winterization/storage procedures before storing it. The baot is located in middle GA so there is no worry of freezing temps only the fact it has been sitting for a year. What should I do before attempting to start it for the first time?

Thanks!
Jim

That must be some basement! I hope there was no gas in it to go sour, if so see some of the posts on a product named Seafoam. good luck

Those EFI fuel systems get finicky after sitting a while. I would drain and clean all fuel system components. The electric fuel pumps sometimes stick too.
