I own a 1997 21' checkmate with a 1997 200 hp mercury efi. Tops off at about 60 and has good low end power. THe weird thing is when i have 3 people on the boat it dosn't seem to even try to get on plane for about 6 or 7 seconds. It stay at about 2300 rpm and then goes.Is this an engine problem or is it just underpowered? I just want to know if something is broken. It's one thing if its reving but it's not even trying. I thought this would be a great ski boat. Help?
