I just installed a rebuilt powerhead on my 1994 Venom model 200 hp OMC. Also put in a water pump kit. At idle (with the muffs on) shuold there be water coming from anywhere but the fitting in the back of the block? There is water coming from what appears to be "pee holes" at three points on the lower unit by where the attaching bolts go. Also "peeing" out two holes near the intake screens. Also noticed it leaking from around the lower rubber motor mounts. Did I miss an o-ring or something or is it mormal. Never noticed it before but I don't run it with the muffs on very much at all. Engine runs great and has 8-10 psi (water pressure ) at idle.

Re: 200 Johnson question

Sounds good to me logrady..... :)

The odd holes that have water coming from them are cavity drains. When you put muffs on, the pump can't pump all thats being feed to it so the cavities in the lower unit and midsection fill and squirt out where ever they can.

The holes just above the anti-cav plate are part of the exhaust system so there is no worries there.

Cut back on the water and it won't pee so much.... :)
