i have a froth of water and gas blowing out of my middle carb...i found some reed valves stuck open and will be cleaning them out ... but .. where is this water comming from ??? i took the exhaust plate off and see the water is in only two cylinders...thinkin its a blown head gasket i took the head off and had it machined true ...i am a bit weary about the mating surface of the block seems theres some corrosion so i lightly block planed the face cleaned ...new gasket ..torqued to 30 lbs started and still the same problem for some reason im thinkin the gasket is not sealing against the face when the head is torqued down ,,,do they make a fatter gasket for problem heads or should i try 2 gaskets as a desperation attempt?? pullin my hair out on long island

bad reeds can suck water from the exhaust ports. do a leakdown test to check cyl sealing. not a compression test. also in salt water occasionally the blocks corrode holes in them. if the cyls are ok replace the reeds and try again. but if its a corroded block it will leak again.
