r&r a stator 3 months ago, charge sys failed, same problem, 3 months later stator failed to charge again. reg/rect change with stator first time, however, only have 20-40- vac on stator output with no shorts to ground, and good resistance. baffling, could the 8 ga batt cables be causing an excessive voltage dump and backfeeding through the reg/rect, and what about a battery charger, ac/dc theory could the charger be sending ac voltage back through the charging circuit shortinig out the reg/rect and stator any help will be greatly appreciated..
