2000 225 Ficht check engine light

So when my engine runs for 15 minute at idle after running somewhere. The check engine light comes on with the alarm. I pump the new ball because it was doing this before I replace the ball too. if I am running no check engine light has come on only idle.
if I pump the ball it goes out? Can the fuel pump be rebuilt? If so where? I heard they are no longer making them?
i changed both fuel filterS too.
i am guessing fuel pump what say you?
