Well I am running a newly rigged motor and getting this alarm. My Fuel tank is new/racor new/all lines new. FYI newly referbished old boat.
At the dock you prime the bulb till hard and she idles out the no wake zone with no issues. After running for a while she gets fuel starved....starts to surge and then alarm and lights come on. By turning the key off and re-priming the bulb she gets going again without much incident. This gets you about .25 mile before it all starts over.
I am checking for restriction in the rigging tube.
I replaced the bulb...not it
The bulb primes up from the tank no prob
The bulb goes dry after a brief run.
Next time I go for a run I will bring a 6 gallon tank to isolate any tank issue but I havent done that yet.
Is there any way to check the fuel pump or other engine side potential probs?
