Hello Everyone! I just bought my first boat and am missing the gas strut for the engine compartment. The brackets are there, but no strut. I know the part number to have it replaced through stingray, but I was hoping to just buy one off the net to save a few dollars. I would like to know what the length of it is and possible the pounds that it needs to support. Any information that might help me research a replacement online.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Okay, so either everyone's 240 is in storage or maybe I asked a dumb question. Should I just pay the $55 from Stingray? I've found a lot of them for half the price so that was the reason for the question.

Can't help you as I have a 190Lx. I am sure if you join the Stingray forum you can get an answer. That or go in the general forum above with the part number and maybe someone can cross reference it for you!

Enjoy your Stingray.
