2000 25HP Mercury Bigfoot 4-stroke tell-tale hole

Extremely new to boating... This is my 2nd season (maybe last???). I noticed that there was no water coming from the tell-tale hole as I drove the boat from the ramp to my dock--about a half mile. Is the flushing port where it should be coming from, or the area/hole under the flushing port? Thanks.

If your motor hash a flush port, that is different than the tell tale hole. A flush port is for hooking up a hose and flushing salt water out of motor. There should be a separate hole that water comes out of. When was the motor used last? 9 out of 10 times, you will find some sort of blockage in the tell tale hole. Over the winter bugs love to crawl up there and build nests that block it up. Try taking a weed wacker line or similar item and run it up through the hole. See if it will pump water after that on the hose. If not, may be time for a new impeller.
