This 3 cylinder , oil injected motor, rolls blue smoke on startup for about 1min. Starts well. I use it weekly(or more), disconnect fuel line b4 shutdown, and run Quicksilver oil. The motor stays at a 45+ degree angle when not in use( on transome saver). Any ideas as to why?

dmessy, are you saying you disconnect fuel line and run engine until it stops?

No, that would cause damage.

Don't understand what you mean by disconnecting fuel line before shutdown, but maybe your getting air in fuel lines and it takes a while to work it out on start-up.

What I do OB ,is shut off engine , THEN disconnect fuel line( you know , like normally). It is not a starting problem, it just smokes excessively for about 1 min. upon initial start up for the day. Just wondering if anyone might know of a cause for this.

Mine smokes a little on startup as well.Fuel evaporates from system when shut down aided by engine temp.Oil doesn't.I normally don't disconnect fuel lines when in seasonal use.Just trying to help.
