Skippers & Wrenchers, I have a 2000, Searay express cruiser, 5.0 EFI, 2 barrel electronic carb., 481 hours. The vessel is in like new condition and has NOT been touched by a blowboy or a hacker mechanic.

PROBLEM: Fuel is getting to the inlet on the back of the carb. but NOT through the fuel injectors and down the throttle body. I jumped the fuel injectors from 1 of the batteries and the fuel injectors functioned properly. I took the vessel to the local Mercruiser dealer had them scope (diagnose) the ECM and they found NO codes and told me that they will get to it in 3 to 4 weeks. It has great spark! Almost acting like the lanyard is "pulled", I flipped it up and down to see if it reset it, still no fuel. I have checked all the fuses both forward and aft. Circuit Breaker is functioning.
Willing to try anything at this point, any ideas and a big ol' "CHEERS" to the man who figures this one out!
Thank you in advance for any ideas!!!
Rick

I would strongly suggest you stop hooking injectors or anything else up to the battery unless you know it actually requiers that much voltage, or you could be buying a lot of parts for no reason.
Here is a link to the OEM service manual. Test things as explained, and you will find the problem.

...and you do NOT have a carb in any shape form or fashion 2bbl or whatever.
It's a throttle body.
There is a hacker mechanic currently working on it.....he needs to follow Don's advice and follow the diagnosics, but first he needs to read the entire Merc service manual and learn what he actually is working on and how it works.

Don S, Thank you for the PDF file. Believe it as anyone may, I do know how to read the schematics and do the voltage tests. I REALLY do appreciate it!

As for bomar76, your a friendly fellow aren't you. I see why you are a Lt. Is that like George Taki in Star Trek becoming a Captain of his own starship?
As far as carb. vs throttle body I didn't want any confusion as to what is on the vessel, I do not expect people to read my mind over the net.

Don S - Having similar problems with my 2001 5.0L EFI. Your link took me to a 6.2L EFI service manual. Can you send me the service manual link for the 5.0L?
