so i have this 5.7 v/p. carbureted engine that when after getting up on plane, the rpms take a nose dive and if i pull back on the throttle, it will sputter but clear up and i can continue to run it. if i leave the throttle down, it stalls out. it starts right back up each time. the carb was rebuilt last fall due to a faulty idle circuit and it ran fine since. im thinking ignition issue now but have not come across a bad module that would allow the engine to start right back up. any thoughts?

FF is new this spring, i will change it out though. also already opened the gas cap to see if it was a clogged vent, no change.

There’s usually an anti siphon valve on the fuel tank where the fuel line attached to the tank. If these corrode or get clogged with debris you can have that problem.
