3 cylinder, 3 carburetor 2-stroke
Intermittent warning buzzer; have eliminated oil reservoir as it is full. Strong stream from tell-tale of warm water. Pulled, inspected thermostat, temp sensor and nothing apparent. Is there a bypass water valve on this engine? Should I just replace 'stat and sensor as they're 18 years old? Thanks in advance...

Also, the link to the service manuals in the stickies is broken - I could use a service manual for this as well...

did you bypass the low oil sensor?
Does it have a "water in fuel" sensor?

No, how would I bypass low oil level? Oil res is full to the top. Does not have water in fuel sensor. Warning is coming on after 30-40 minutes of running.

Did you drop the thermostat in a pot of heated water to see if it's actually working? Good and bad stats look the same.

How long since impeller service?

Doh! Thanks GA Boater It is the impeller after all. Can someone help me with a kit part number? 2000 50HP ELPTO / Serial number 0T097810 - 3 cylinders, two-stroke, with three carburetors

Shout out to all who responded. This task not too bad really, I did it standing along the shoreline in water maybe 1 1/2 feet deep! The ladder on this pontoon served to hold the leg while I actually swapped out the impeller. Everything went according to Hoyle, and it took me around 90 minutes - with the gasket parts $27. BTW, 1 fin of the impeller compromised which no doubt contributed to the over heating symptom. No idea how long / number of hours service on it but confident this was the problem. Thanks all y'all...Jon
