My outdrive is a Bravo 3, can I replace the raw water impeller while the boat is in the water? Not sure if the boat will flood when I disconnect the supply/return lines from the outdrive.

Thanks

Yes, you can. Water will come in the boat, so work fast :D

if you raise up and secure the water inlet hose, it will not leak. Then you can quickly re-attach the hose when done.

make sure to have some dish soap handy to lube the impeller and housing internals, so that the pump does not start out bone dry.

Thanks, I’ve always done this out of the water before.
