The problem started the end of last season. I've just replaced the fuel filter for that line on the boat and the filter on the motor. They were clean- no water or other stuff. The other motor dosn't have this problem. Fuel pump pumps it up fine each time the key switch is cycled. There is no antisyphon valve on the tank, probably due to its larger fitting size(besides, this is a new problem). I replaced the bulb. When I pump up the bulb before I leave it stays pumped throughout the night untill I return the next day so I don't think there is a leak.
It dosen't seem to happen over 2500RPM. It can run for an hour or so before it starts to slow down, if I get to the bulb quick it speeds back up to where it was and keeps running. The bulb dosen't suck in(implode), but definately takes a few more sqeezes that the other good motor. Is there another screen or some **** somewhere else on the motor to check? It seems like it might just be vapor lock from air/vapor in the fuel lines, or would it self bleed off the air some how?

The gas line may have a slight leak in it that allows air to get into it. Have you tried replacing the fuel line?

you may need a carb cleaning. or it's picking up trash, and pumping is blowing it thru.

No carbs on a FICHT. Filters clean. Mech said to do a compression test because there are two pumps: the high pressure pump and a lift pump that lifts the fuel from the tank to the high pressure pump and the lift pump runs off of vacume. Did compression check - all good at 118-120 LBS.(thank you Lord!) I'm leaning towards air in the line. Will keep banging away at it. Next step I think is to pull off fuel hose from motor and pump any air out with bulb.
