I know nothing about the boat in question, but you also ask about converting a number from knots to MPH.

Any such conversion is a breeze with www.google.com

In this case, type the following in the search box and hit enter:

28 knots in mph

Similarily, it will also take conversions such as:

20 degrees celsius in fahrenheit
5/16 inch in mm
20 sq feet in sq m
1,6 gallons in liters
6 feet 2 inches in cm

and so on... Haven't found a conversion yet that stumped it.

I have a glastron and my friends have 2 others. They are decent boats I have the same motor and I do like it. Just make sure you dont pay top dollar for it and be ready to do the nickel dime stuff that will fail. Check the value on nada and dont be to concerned about all the options on the boat and you'll be happy

I always use a +/- 10% factor for quick and dirty conversions (knots X 1.1 = mph; mph X .9 = knots). It's not precise, but close. If you want to be really exact, doing it in your head, split the differnce between 10 and 20% and you'll be almost right on. 1.1 is easy to do in my head and gets me within 1 mph or closer at "normal" boat speeds, usually.

You talking about a ciera or clasic?, Ciera is a nice looking boat!!, the clasic is damn ugly (my opinion) but has a great layout for fishing. The ciera has nice layout to.. but seems more geared to entertaining and family cruising.Personaly I would'nt be afraid to buy either.. that 5.7 should push it along pretty good to.

Jim

That's about right with a relatively light load and full fuel tank.

well I looked at the glastron-- no good the cabin had bad leak stains all throughout. I do not want to start with a boat thats leaking especially for 20,000. saw one bayliner ciera, but that was not in great shape either.

Thanks guys will keep looking in the meantime my 22'seamaster WA is running great!! so Im not in a rush.

If it's leaking from the top, it's not a big problem. Rebed any hardware (rails, cleats, etc.) and it's fixed.

Now if it's leaking from the bottom .......
