In the process of purchasing a 2000 Glastron GS 249. Found a great deal locally and it seems to fit our needs. My only concern is that it has the Mercury 5.0 / Alpha One (Gen2) engine package. The spec sheet puts the boat at 4400 pounds (not fully loaded).
Our primary usage will be cruising - little water sports, and not concerned about top-speed. Will this package be enough for the boat? Guessing getting on plane will be a bit of a task...
Anyone have this boat/engine package?
